SYMPTOMS:
Certain computers will handle the music and notes during gameplay differently from others. If you feel like you are following the music and playing accordingly, but still missing notes, you may need to adjust your audio/visual sync.

RESOLUTION:
Start with the Audio Sync, as this value will usually be the problem, and no further adjustment should be necessary.
1. From the main menu, select ˜Options. (You can also select Options from the in-game pause menu.)
2. Select Calibrate Audio Lag.
3. Select the current value. (default is 100ms)
4. Change the value to 80ms, and attempt regular gameplay. If the sync feels even worse than it was before the change was made, proceed to step 5. If the sync seems to be correct or closer, skip to step 6.
5. Change the value to 120ms, and attempt regular gameplay. The sync should be relatively close.
6. If necessary, adjust the Audio Lag value to fine tune the sync for your computer. Try changing the value up or down 5ms at a time, keeping in mind that most computers should not need to go lower than 70ms or higher than 130ms.
After following these steps, if the game still isn't synchronized to your liking, try adjusting the Visual Sync. Calibrating Visual Lag is usually unnecessary for computers if you're playing off of a monitor, and changing this value from its default is usually not recommended.
1. From the main menu, select ˜Options. (You can also select Options from the in-game pause menu.)
2. Select Calibrate Video Lag.
3. Select Calibrate, and strum to the notes as they pass over the stationary circle. This should give you rough value of the amount of visual lag adjustment needed.
4. Attempt regular gameplay, and adjust this value to fine tune the sync for your computer and display. Try changing the value up or down 5 or 10ms at a time.

Remember: Most sync issues should be easily corrected using the Audio Sync function. Keeping Visual Lag at the default 0ms setting is recommended
