To get the best possible Guitar Hero III performance on your computer, please try the following optimization steps:

RESOLUTION:
- End all other active applications running on your PC before launching Guitar Hero III. This is especially true for any 3rd party instant messaging applications. It is known that receiving messages while playing may interfere with your gameplay experience.

- Navigate to the Video Options through the main menu. Try lower display resolutions. You may also disable effects or put them on lower settings to improve performance.

- Note that the Graphics Detail option is only changeable if your video card supports Shader Model 3.0.
If you have a non-standard keyboard or a mouse that does not have the standard layout mentioned in the manual, you may rebind the game functions to keys on your keyboard through the Options menu under Controller.

Are the scrolling notes in reverse order? Simply Pause the game and deselect the Lefty Flip option.

If the computer running Guitar Hero III is behind a firewall and you are having difficulty with online functionality, try opening UDP ports 2270, 2280, and 50000.
