Most of the performance issues we are seeing reported are on Macs with integrated graphics chips, primarily the 320m. We have identified the issue and are working on a patch to improve things. THIS FIX IS NOT FOR USE WITH THE X1900 GRAPHICS CARD.
In the meantime, if you want to improve KOTOR performance, you can give this a try:
-Launch Terminal
Applications/Utilities/Terminal
-enter the following:
defaults write com.aspyr.KOTOR EnableBumpyShiny -bool YES
This should improve performance for you until we can get an official patch released.
IF you do not like the effects, you can turn it off by entering this:
defaults write com.aspyr.KOTOR EnableBumpyShiny -bool NO
Let us know if you have any questions.

Please someone answer me if possible:
-I have a MacBook Air and with OS X Lion, may i know if Knights of the old republic will work fine?
=)
If you have one of the following graphics cards the game will be fine:
Supported Video Cards
If you do not, I cnt recommend buying the game. I hope this helps.
I need help. When I begin a game on KOTR ,and I try to use the keys to control my character but nothing works. Every key on the keypad is unresponsive when I am playing the game. Please I need help!
Please can I get help from someone.
Is this game compatible with Lion? A bunch of reviews on the App Store say that it doesn't run well or run at all on Lion. Can I get some confirmation before I drop the cash?
I've been unable to run KotOR ever since I upgraded from a PPC/G5 to a new Intel i7 iMac with Snow Leopard; the graphics card is supported, but there are problems with mouse and keyboard control of the character. I previously tried the v1.03d patch, and recently the v1.03e patch, but neither fixed the problems I've been having. Is this game still supported on newer machines with newer releases of OS X?
Well, i installed KOTOR in my mac book air with the newest version possible and the game worked really well
I just installed KOTOR on my fairly new Macbook Pro and the game itself runs fine but there is no sound. My computer's sound is turned on, and the in-game sound is turned up, but there is no sound in-game whatsoever. Any tips?
If you haven't, please open a support ticket so we can get information about the machine you are attempting to play on.
I was able to resolve my problems with KotOR on Snow Leopard by re-installing from the DVD and with a fresh copy of 1.03e
I want to play it in windowed mode because my screen is too large for it. I can't find anything about it. Thanks in advance for the answer
will this work on the mid 2010 13 inch MBP?
I bought the Appstore Version of the Game because I loved it back in 2003.
The performance is okay for a game that was ported from PowerPC to Intel-CPUs.
There is only one issue.
The screen resolution. Yes I totally understand that in 2003 16:9 or 16:10 were not regular formats.
So my question is. Will there ever be a patch for this issue or is there a workaround to play it in 16:10 ? Playing in a 4:3 window would also be okay.
Thanks in advance
I got the game from you guys and followed all directions, i placed the binary crack in the game folder and to no avail, its asking me for a game disk. "Please insert the disk "Knights of the Old Republic" or press Quit" Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.
Okay sooo I downloaded this off the mac app store and in-game the mouse calibration is really off. Any fixes?
