Our developers are currently assessing updates for some of our powerpc updates and titles but there is not estimated time of release at this time.  We can only recommend partitioning your hard drive and reinstalling Snow Leopard on that partition.  You can do this using your Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility app.

Only the App Store release of Call of Duty is officially supported on OSX Lion.

As an original investor in this software on the Mac platform, partially in the hope that further titles would be ported to this OS, I think it only right that if there is a version for Lion even through the App store then existing owners of this software should be given a free voucher so that we can continue to use the software we invested in.

The attitude above is not good customer service, in fact I would not be surprised if thousands of existing customers boycott the Aspyr label...

Please think on this and modify your policy to keep your customers happy.

I recently bought a new iMac with Lion on it. I too have the original discs and then bought the download versions. I even have COD2 and COD4, that thankfully still run on Lion.

If there is an App Store version that will run on Lion, then you should provide a voucher so we can download one that will work.

Think about trying as hard as Apple to make your customers happy.

unlike Dave Perry who wants everything in life for free, I'd be pleased to pay for an updated, rewritten version of the classic multi-player Call of Duty game.

hope this is possible, the release of an OS Lion compatible single-user Call of Duty is an encouraging first step!!

Totally agree...I think a complete rewrite of COD and equally important CO-DUO would be worth an upgrade fee. I have bought the original versions and the follow up version of COD Deluxe. This is one major factor for me in NOT updating to Mac OS X Lion.

I re-downloaded my purchase from the app store and the multi-player worked this time.  You should remove older versions of CD before doing your purchase and download.

I'm having issues downloading from servers, it just hangs, forever.  I can download from those servers on my pre-Lion version.  So the issue isn't with the server, I can transfer those files from my pre-Lion MacBook to my Lion OS Mac Pro, same username so file permissions match up ok.

Anyone else had issues with downloading, of course i've double checked that I've selected the auto download in preferences.  Regardless of my choice of COD server I am unable to download.  Bad news for multi-player addicts.      :(

Hello. Your suggestion above says download the Call of Duty program from the Apple App Store. On the App Store, there is CoD, v1.5.4. Previous to upgrading to Lion, I played CoD United Offensive Multi-Player v1.51c. Can I use the App Store's CoD program to play CoD UO multi-player?
