If you are having trouble loading your saved games, give this a try:
1. Navigate to the quick save folder, located @ /user/<user name>/Library/Containers/com.aspyr.rageappstore/Data/Library/Application Support/Rage/base/savegame for MacApp users
and @/user/<user name>/Library/Application Support/Rage/base/savegame for Digital River users.
OSX Lion now hides this directory, so please press cmd+shift+G in Finder to bring up a search window and type in '~/library' to access this directory.
2. In this folder have them delete the SAVES-quick folder.
3. Launch RAGE.
4. Load the auto-save.
5. Quick saving and quick loading should now work until all save slots have filled up again.
This is only a temporary work around. Dev is currently aware of the issue and is working to fix the problem.

Well I have this problem but thing is the path described doesn't exist on my Mac, which is weird. I go to Library, but there is nothing like "Containers" nor "Rage" or and "save games" from Rage...I am confused, I searched my whole HDD for "aspyr" and it only finds Rage the game app itself.
If you cant find the appropriate folder, call us so we can walk you through the location.

Is that line international or I need some prefix from EU?
I am Mac user for 20 years now, and this never happened to me, that I can't find the folder :-( I go all the was to /user/<user name>/Library but there is not "Containers" folder :-(
is it possible that this workaround only works once a time?
i deleted the folder SAVES-quick and all the saving/loading issues disappeared but after some few savings this issue is present to me again.
But now there is no SAVES-quick folder. I only see GAMES-AUTOSAVE and GAMES-RAGE_<number>
For me found that saving works always if I don't select an existing save game to overwrite it. I just start the game and select continue campain and after it loaded I try to load the latest save game. This usually works fine for me. Exceptionally if I click by mistake while saving on an existing saved game. Then the game will crash.
This sucks so bad... I hope they get it fixed soon. It is a 1.0 version after all. In any case, everyone had better make a shortcut to the said folder, and before your saved game slots fill up entirely, make sure you have one slot left for you 'last' save, quite the game, and then delete the other saves. Otherwise you might find yourself in a tough situation where your game has crashed and you can't get back your save because you've accidentally deleted it or it just won't save.
Deleting games in-game also makes it crash, btw. You might be able to delete ONE game, but anymore than that it'll crash (I think mine crashed on the 3rd though).
Hence you have to delete the games using the Finder -- which is risky because....
Which one is your latest save??? Save #1 or the last numbered folder??
typos above -- you = your; quite = quit. I've no idea how that happened on a mac...
with regards to which one's your latest -- don't go by the names. Arrange the folders by date and see which one is the latest!

I just bought the game, and i'm afraid i had the aforementioned bug. However, when navigating to the folder, there's no SAVES-quick, just GAMES-AUTOSAVE, GAMES-RAGE_0 e GAMES-RAGE_1! What can i do?

@Andre: Quit the game and delete the GAMES-AUTOSAVE folder and you'll be alright. After that, start the game up and you can use your saved games. It's the AUTO-SAVE that's messing things up.
@Jason: I found a new bug (one that doesn't seem to have been reported): If you use your keyboard to navigate the initial game menus, this will cause the game to crash! By using my mouse to click around, I manage to avoid crashing the app. I hope you guys are aware of this 'new' bug.

@Animaster- this isn't a problem anyone else has reported.

this patch fixes the Saved game issue.
AppStore version will be live today as well.

Woot~! This fixes all the known issues including:
• the weird language bug that prevented the game from opening at all when your input language was anything but US English
• all bugs related to saving and loading games
• the menu bug that crashes the game if you use the keyboard to navigate the menus
Also, the texture detail option is nice, but my machine (quad-core i7 mbpro 8GB RAM, 1GB VRAM Radeon 6750) can't handle it fast enough and I get the texture streaming effect A LOT when it's active. Good for future machines, but by then I'd have finished the game.
Well guys, time to head on to the AppStore and give em their stars back : ) ~!
