Confusion about AppStore vs Steam versions.

There seems to be some confusion about the difference between the AppStore version of the game vs. the Steam version. You should be aware that these are 2 separate platforms and are not swappable or interchangeable.

Downloadable content will NOT work between platforms.

This applies to the following titles:

Bioshock Infinite

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

Borderlands 2

Call of Duty®: Black Ops

Civilization: Beyond Earth

Civilization V

Civilization VI

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered

Layers of Fear

SimCity™ 4: Deluxe Edition

If you purchased one of these games on the Mac App Store, iTunes, or Steam, they'll need to be purchased separately on a different platform.

WHAT IS STEAM?

•Steam is a digital distribution storefront, digital rights management (anti-piracy, aka DRM), multiplayer and community platform developed by Valve Corporation.  This means you can purchase and download games in addition to make friends with those whom you play games.  Users can download the Steam application for Windows, Mac and now Linux.
