Fahreheit: IPR (Steam) generates a Call Stack error at launch.

We've seen this error generate from various causes:

  • Video capturing software running in the background (i.e. DIVX, RAPTR, etc.)

Please exit out of or force quit the third party conflicting software.  Then, right click (ctrl+click) Fahrenheit: IPR from the Steam Library menu and select Properties. Under the Local Files tab, select Verify Integrity of Game Cache. Once that completes, relaunch the game.

  • The game's Config file being corrupted or missing

Please right click Fahrenheit from the Steam Library menu and select Properties.  Under the Local Files tab, select Browse Local Files.

Delete the Fahrenheit config file.  Then, right click (ctrl+click) Fahrenheit: IPR from the Steam Library menu and select Properties. Under the Local Files tab, select Verify Integrity of Game Cache. Once that completes, relaunch the game.

  • The Direct X or Visual C++ Redistributable file was skipped during the initial installation (PC only).

C++ Redistributable: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3387

Direct X 9: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34429

If any of these apply to you, please use the corresponding troubleshooting method(s).

Please email us at support@aspyr.com directly if you continue to run into any other issues.
