If you're experiencing issues installing your Civilization VI in-app purchases, here are some tips to get those DLCs downloaded:
Check your Storage
When installing Civilization VI and any DLCs or Expansions, the first thing to check is whether you have enough storage. Below is a list of storage space needed for Civilization VI and its' DLCs/Expansions.
*Note that your device needs double the storage amount to properly install the game and DLCs*
If you own the base game and all DLCs and Expansions on your device, you'll need at least a minimum of 18 GBs of available storage to download everything at once
Below you will find a breakdown of the add-ons and the space required to install:
- Civilization VI Base Game (3.76GB): requires 7.52GB
- All DLC Packs Only (4.86GB): requires 9.62GB
- New Frontier Pass (1.91GB): requires 3.82GB
- Gathering Storm (1.43GB): requires 2.86GB
- Rise and Fall (947.3MB): requires 1.9GB
- Base Game with all DLC (8.62GB): requires 17.24GB
- -Individual DLC Packs-
- Persia & Macedon Pack (138.3MB): requires 276.6MB
- Australia Pack (87MB): requires 174MB
- Black Death Scenario (26.9MB): requires 53.8MB
- Khmer & Indonesia Pack (139.1 MB): requires 278.2MB

Restore Purchases (And Stay in the Menu!)
In the Get More Content menu under the In-App Purchases tab, the option to Restore Purchases can be found in the bottom left of the screen, underneath the list of In-App Purchases available. Selecting this prompts the game to recheck your downloaded content, and attempt to re-download any missing purchases.
Also important to note, when downloading, make sure to stay in the In-App Purchases menu while the download is processing! The download will not continue in the background, and will also pause while your phone is in sleep mode.
Sign in and out of the App Store
- Force quit Civilization VI
- Open the App Store
- Select your Apple ID icon from the top right
- Scroll to the very bottom of the menu and select Sign Out
- Open Civilization VI
- Once on the Main Menu, force quit the app again.
- Open the App Store
- Sign into your Apple ID through the icon on the top right
- Open Civilization VI
- Go into the Get More Content menu, and select "Restore Purchases"
Reinstall the Civilization VI App
If none of the prior steps get your DLC installed, please try the following steps to perform a clean reinstall of Civilization VI. Please note that reinstalling will delete any saves not saved to the cloud, as well as your hall of fame:

Delete the Civilization VI app

To do so, press and hold on the app icon, then when prompted select Remove App > Delete App. Note this will delete any saves not saved to the cloud as well.

Log out of your App Store account.

Restart your device.

Log back into your App Store account.

Reinstall Civilization VI.

Launch Civilization VI, and open the Get More Content menu.

Make sure to stay on the In-App Purchases tab while downloading.
