Looking to transfer your saved game/character between Baldur's Gate titles on your Android device? The article below explains how to import save games on Android phones/tablets using Android 11+.
**NOTE**
This article only applies to Baldur’s Gate, Siege of Dragonspear, and Baldur’s Gate II on Android 11 or later.
You must have Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition or Siege of Dragonspear, and Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition installed and run at least once for this save game import to work.
Only Baldur's Gate titles must be updated to v2.6.6.6 or higher to import save games between titles on Android 11.
Once you have updated your titles, it is necessary to have launched each game at least once in order to grant the access needed to import save games.
Instructions
In the following example, we will import a save game from Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition into a single player game of Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition, Shadows of Amn on Android 11. You can use this method to import a “Final Save” file automatically created when you complete the first game, or any other single player save file from BG:EE. The same process applies to multiplayer importing.
-
Run Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition and confirm the version number at the main menu is 2.6.6.6 or higher. The version number is located at the top of the main menu. You may also wish to confirm the name of your save file from the Load menu, to ensure you are importing the correct file to Baldur’s Gate II later.
-
Exit Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition.
-
Run Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition and confirm the version number at the main menu is 2.6.6.6 or higher. The version number is located at the main menu, below the Throne of Bhaal title.
-
Now that we have confirmed our versions of the games, we are ready to begin the Import process. In Baldur’s Gate II, tap Shadows of Amn -> Single Player -> Import. The Import menu will display, and you should see all your save files from Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition and Siege of Dragonspear.
-
Select your desired save file and tap Load. A list of the custom-made character(s) from the save file will be displayed. Select the character you want to import and tap Done.
-
The Character Generation menu will load. From here, you can proceed with making any adjustments to your character’s appearance, voice, and name before tapping Accept.
From here, you can select your desired difficulty level and begin the Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition campaign with your character from Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition. You are now ready to continue your adventures in Baldur’s Gate!
