You may be able to use the following workaround to get those reflections displaying correctly!
***NOTE: Use at your own risk! This is a developer command and may result in degraded game performance and stability.***
To enable reflections for all bodies of water, you'll need to edit one of the RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 game files. Here are steps to find that file, as well as how to edit it:
- Open a new Finder window.
- From the menu bar at the top of the screen, select Go, then "Go to Folder..."
- A text bar should open in your Finder window. Paste either the Mac App or Steam version filepath into the text bar and hit enter:
- Mac App:
- ~/Library/Containers/com.aspyr.rct3.appstore/Data/Library/Application Support/RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition/
- Steam
- ~/Documents/Aspyr/RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition
- Mac App:
- From that folder, open the Data folder.
- In the Data folder, open the Options.txt document.
- In the Options.txt document, paste the following at the top of the document:
- ReflectInMultipleSurfaces 1
- Your document should look like the following:
- ReflectInMultipleSurfaces 1
- Resolution [number] [number]
- ShadowsDetails 0
- StaticBatchTriCutoff 60 [...]
- Save the Options.txt document.
Now your game should be good to go!
