We've received reports of a Sims 2: Super Collection crashing on launch for certain apple silicon running macOS 12 (Monterey) or newer and are currently investigating this issue.
While we work towards a fix, we recommend using the following workaround.
Set your monitor's refresh rate to 60 Hz or less.
To do so follow these steps:
- Open your mac's System Preferences
- Click Displays
- Under the "Refresh Rate" drop-down, set your refresh rate to 60 Hz or less.
If you do not see "Refresh Rate" as an option in this window, press and hold the Option key and select the Scaled option. This should unhide this setting.
