- Diplomatic Victory Fix: Addressed an issue where the Diplomatic Victory did not appear in World Rankings when teams were enabled.
- Scored Competition Prompt: Fixed overlapping prompts with the chat panel during Multiplayer games.
- Multiplayer Enhancements: Improved matchmaking and resolved issues including display bugs, gameplay hang-ups, and player interaction issues during Multiplayer.
- World Congress Fix: Resolved issues with submitting World Congress choices while paused and various other display issues.
Gameplay Adjustments
- Balanced Start Fixes: Corrected invalid placements during balanced start choices, ensuring players now have more consistent and fair starts.
- City-State and Map Updates: Replaced Antioch with Venice as a City-State, added bias for central continent starts, and enhanced map visual updates.
- Pirates Mode Enhancements: Fixed issues around coastal raids, updated the reward system, and improved unit wave refresh rates for a smoother experience.
- Neighborhood and Spy Operations: Spy operation restrictions now in place for pillaged Neighborhoods, making strategic choices more impactful.
- Cultural Domination: Clarified that Cultural Domination effects now include faster spy missions, increased loyalty pressure, and international trade route bonuses.

- Exploits and Glitches: Addressed several exploits related to unit upgrades, district builds, and free policy changes.
- Graphical and UI Fixes: Resolved various UI and graphical glitches, including those in the Great Work Heist spy mission and issues with City-State interactions.
- Performance Improvements: Numerous performance and memory enhancements, with fixes for crashes related to combat, district builds, and unit actions.
- AI Behavior Fixes: Fixed instances where the AI would bias too heavily toward science, causing issues like bankruptcy and unit disbandment.
- Combat and Unit Fixes: Fixed issues with incorrect combat strength, unit promotions, and combat previews.
- Resource & Tooltip Updates: Fixed issues where resource tooltips were incorrect, and fixed errors in the "Turns Remaining" for completed Emergencies.
- Various Other Fixes: Numerous other bug fixes including crashes, UI errors, and logic fixes related to districts, units, and game modes.
New Features
- Tech and Civic Shuffle Mode: A new mode that shuffles techs and civics within historical eras, offering varied costs and prerequisites. The trees remain the same for all players, and techs/civics are hidden until prerequisites are met.
- Natural Wonder Picker: A new tool in Advanced Setup, allowing players to select a pool of Natural Wonders for random placement in the next game.
- City-State Picker: In Advanced Setup, players can now choose a pool of City-States to appear in their next game, adding more control over game setup.
- Barbarian Clans Game Mode: Replaces traditional Barbarian Tribes with seven different clans, each with unique units and actions. Clans can convert into City-States based on player interaction.
New Units
- Trebuchet: A Medieval-era Siege unit that upgrades to Bombard. Cannot move and attack in the same turn unless it has earned the Expert Crew promotion.
- Man-At-Arms: A Medieval-era upgrade from Swordsman, transitioning into Musketman. Several unique units will upgrade into this unit.
- Line Infantry: An Industrial-era upgrade from Musketman, transitioning into Infantry. Multiple unique units will upgrade into this unit.
New Maps
- Mediterranean Large Map: A large map representing the Mediterranean region with historically accurate resources and terrain.
- Earth Huge Map: A massive, Earth-sized map with realistic terrain and resources.
- TSL Earth Huge: Start at the location of your civilization’s historical capital on the Earth Huge map.
- TSL Mediterranean: Start at the location of your civilization’s historical capital on the Mediterranean Large map.
Additional Updates
- Leader Selection Pool: Create custom pools of leaders for single-player and multiplayer games, allowing you to pick from a curated list of leaders. This adds new strategies and randomization for more diverse gameplay.
- Julius Caesar Added: Julius Caesar is now available as a leader, bringing new strategies to the game.
Miscellaneous Changes and Updates
- Governor Updates: Fixed issues related to governor assignments, including ensuring governors are addressed before progressing to the next turn.
Building and Unit Fixes: Resolved issues with building yields, unit promotions, and adjacency bonuses. - Spy Operations and Espionage: Fixed various issues related to spy missions, including missions that weren’t progressing properly or yielding the wrong results.
